Well....as the title states I'm at a crossroads once again. I needs to build
this car ( '89 crx) but I really cant make up my mind. Somedays I want to try to
be loud other days its just the opposite. This all came about because I need to build my personal car for demo purposes,plus i'm really tired of the youth laughing
at me ( what wrong with a 36 yrs old who manages a car audio department....dont think i have a clue)...you get the point.

Both will be equally difficult and time consuming...so which would wow the best?
I really have about 6-7 weeks to build this thing so let your voices be heard.
I have some gear to start with ( a small breakdown) sitting in my closet.

cda7893,cva1003,kdc515s,cdxc670( o something like that its in my wifes car go fig..she wants a new deck )
xm reciever/sirius reciever with ants ( hey im an early adapter)
3 mtx 10's/2mtx 8's/ polk 5.25 integreated coax/infinty coaxs/eclipse integrate coax/ basscube/2 pg linedrivers/ppi deq230/soundstream604/powernav dvd/3 changers(ken alp sony) misc passive xovers/resistors/caps/coils...lets just say i could have fun.

ps...at this moment nothing is for sale....just putting that out there.
The only thing is if i do DB drag/spl....i would have to be competative ( street a)
min....154-6 db...great more toys.

Tough choice Both can be fun.
When I had the room I tried to do both. I was happy with it.
Using some kind of DSP processor makes it fairly easy to change the setup.

Thanx nsxxtreme....I had thought about SQL...I could possibly do it in that car
either add 8" to rear speaker sides with kicks and door midbass..deq could work those...seperate vented enclosure with basscube as processing...( or better yet
build a box with a motorized vent...hmm thats a thought) here I go again...the \
ideas are flowwing..just dont want to get jammed up and have nothing done

It all depends on your targeted age groups. If you want to wow the kiddies go for spl, but stick to sq if your dealing with older folks. SQL will work also, but thats alot more work.

Why can't you have both?

Build the top end for SQ. A ported box with multiple ports that you can plug could have a low tune for daily and a higher one for SPL. There are several reports on termpro.com's forum of people with 1 13w7 and 2k watts hitting 151+. One had a pretty low tune also.
