I haven't dyno'd it or anything but I have auto-x'd and gone lapping in it twice. The VTEC engagement, although stated as 5100-5400, seems to be at 4800 and helps a lot in gaining midrange power. Combined with the 9k redline, I have more power available in a given gear. The kick is not abrupt as a stock ITR vtec engagement which allows for a more driveable car for auto-x/road race. The car really pulls above 6k and it is nice to know that you have another 3k of usable power. When I had my 98 FD, this made for an AWESOME auto-x combination. Instead of using 1st and 2nd or just 2nd for auto-x, you have a broader 2nd and a more usable and less aggressive 3rd so that you don't upset the car. I'd really like to run this in my ITR but I want to remain in a stock class. It gets 24/28 city/hwy with a 98+ ITR FD.
The a/c works with this ECU. What ecu doesn't? The reprogs?
and again, the dog is not for sale.
