lots of problems, need opinion
Got my 91 civic hatch std about a month ago, just took it in to be inspected. Turns out there are a ton of things that need to be fixed. here is the list with estimated prices from mechanic:
1)Replace front pads and rotor turn-$185
2)Major service and tune-$300
3)Replace rear brake shoes-5% remain, shoes are broken-$165.00
4)Replace front motor mount-$165.00
5)Trailing arm bushings are broken-$585.00
6) top radiator hose is drying out, shift shaft seal is leaking, replace brake master cylinder-$375.00
7)Replace timing belt, drive belts, & waterpump (with cam and crank seals)-$450.00
And thats the list.
I know im stupid for not taking it in before i bought it, so that said, what stuff on the list is easy to fix at home (never worked on a car before), are those prices normal, is my car worth keeping. thx for the help guys.

here are do it yourself prices
1-pads $20 and $40 for both rotors brand new lifetime warrant from pep boys
2-tune up-about 200
3-rear shoes are $25
4-front motor mount can be fixed with Energy suspension bushings inserts ($15) even if mount its broken
5-trailin arm bushings.... u can get a complete ES kit of bushings for like $128 from summit
6-rad hose $15, and get a better master cylinder off a yunkyard off an integra for like $70
7-T belt its $30, drive belt $20 and water pump its about 100
how hard is all that stuff to do? i still need to be able to drive my car to work and stuff so i dont really wana risk messing stuff up too badly trying to do it all myself.
get a repair manual. start with the brakes, then the radiator hose, keep going until you feel like you're getting over your head. then have one of your buddies who knows how to work on cars finish the rest.

Before you spend any money on replacement parts, get a factory service manual, it will be the best money you will ever invest in your car.
