Default Injectors who to use and who to stay away from...

Well there are just so many damn injectors out there, i thought this would be a great post filled with a ton of info. if everyone can post there expeirences with the size, type, and what they thought of any injectors they have ever used.

RC 440cc - ran great for my VAFC hack, and had no complaints.

Venom injectors I just hear horrible things about, but don't have proof to back this up.

Looking for a 720cc or 75lb injector, but want something that won't require modding the fuel rail, and also uses obd1 clips. any ideas?

I have always run RC injectors. Absolutely no complaints from me. I have had 2 sets of 310s and I have some 550s waiting for the Hondata to go in.

I've had RC550's and RC310's and never had a single problem with them. Going to try out some Delphi or MSD 80lbs and see how they do.

You can't beat RC's for 550 and under. They get very expensive above the 550 size. For the 720, go with Greddy. They are a drop in just like the RC. The 720 is the only Greddy injector we sell. We have made well over 500whp with them. Almost everything larger you really need to drill out the fuel rail for a proper install.

I have a set of venon 720s high impedance with ODB2 connectors and they have worked great so far.

Many people say they suck but so far i havent had any problems with them.

I'm using the ever popular DSM 450's. They're loud, but I have yet to have a problem with them.

either the true delphi or the msd modified to fit the rails. We can get both and they are direct also we have the new line of CPR racing injectors which are based on the lucas disc type. They bought the rights from lucas and now are machin injectors for the imports.

when I was playing with a all motor h series I used some venom 350cc's and had no problem at all.

however I will say they mess up when they sent me the injectors at first... but they fixed the problem.

if your going to run 440's run stock turbo dsm 440's. I called a junkyard in Indiana and the guy said they cant even keep the 440 dsm's in stock because rc buys them all off him revamps, balances, cleans and sticks there name on them. I picked a set up for 15.00 compared to what rc sells the same injectors for 90.00 appeice.

I have RC 720cc Injectors and as stated above they were definately not cheap. I think it ended up costing me somewhere around 575 dollars shipped (3 day air) to my door, which was cost for the shop I was working at.

I thought DSMs used 450cc peak/hold? Can they convert them into 440cc saturated?

Recommended injectors:

RC Engineering (550cc and under). Fit great, price is ok. Lifetime warrenty for cleaning and balancing is nice.

MSD Injectors. Just change the upper O ring to the Honda o ring, and they work perfectly. Priced affordably. I've been using these long before anyone was using them.

Delphi . Drop in fitment, excellent pricing and quality.

I will not use or attempt to use these injectors again

DSM injectors - Three times these injectors have cost me time wasted in appointments in the last week. Their resistance level is higher than what the Honda ecu wants to see, and with that comes odd results. Inconsistant fueling, hot starting problems, hell I've gotten a set that were just balanced and cleaned that didnt work AT ALL. That wasted my whole day.

Venom injectors - i havent used these in a while, but they had problems with inconsistant flow rates from injector to injector. Havent tried since.

Sieman Deka injectors - Require too much damn work to get to work on a Honda. While you can try to space out the fuel rail to get them to work, you could just buy the right injector from the beginning. These are also popularly badged as Accel and a "different kind" of msd injector (which they are not). Holley also uses this style for particular fitments, but not all.

Venom injectors suck, I had 720's and they were horrible. They were so far off they actually caused the car to missfire, and they were saturated WTF. Changed to msd's and no prob.

I'm using the 65lb MSDs... had to get the rail hogged out for them to fit. Seem to be going well, only been running them for a week so far. They were supposedly flow tested but the installers were pretty positive they were not.
