Default just did swap for buddy and no plug fire and code 9 ?

need help bad . it`s a std model 88 civic . did the dx to si conversion as per the diagram evil did and i get turnover but no fire at dist and wire. can someone simplify the wiring at the distributor . he`s using a 1st gen b16a and ecu . did i do the wrong conversion ? i was told that you can do the wiring conversion and the harness would work on a b16. i ran the extra wires for the other things also , vtec and all
