b16 race head
hey have any of u guys received a racing head package from gude ? my uncle got one for his b18a and it was really complete. they gave him :
a ported intake manifold that resembles the jg / edelbrock kind
ported throttle body
re-grind cams
ported head
valve springs
and chipped computer.
i can't really remember what he paid but i mean he said it was cheaper than everyone else like
inline four
dpr
port flow
if anyone has good results with the b16 head package lemme know and what i can expect to pay in canadian or us money. i know there is a core charge too
hey what do u guys think of regrind cams do they break or are they bad to brand new billets?

I ran Gude products a while back...first off, the ported intake manifold was simply an intake manifold that was match ported to the larger throttle body, and match-ported to the cylinder head. It didn't include valvesprings ( this was on a SOHC application) and the chipped computer was programmed way too rich. It would belch black smoke at idle..and even more under full throttle. I would look into other routes as far as your B16a is concerned...Gude's stuff seemed to work well with non-VTEC SOHC cars...but I rarely saw a DOHC run well with Gude...I'd go Portflow
