There is nothing worse than J-body enthusiasts. Those cars always look so cheezy when they are "hooked up". I'm sure it's possible to do it nicely, I just never see it.
Funny thing is, you can legitimately go JDM on these cars. Toyota marketed the Cavalier under their badge in Japan in the late 90's. Bomex even made a bodykit for it. This is why Cavs pop up in the ads in Option.

yeah, most of those cars are a little under-done, but the guy writes, "but again we have a domestic car posing in full 'Fast and Furious' wannabe-import racer gear..." regarding the light blue Cavilier with white rims. So baby blue paint, white rims, and a kit are only for the "import racer" crowd now? i believe anyone can do it, if i'm not mistaken. Unless there's some kind of rulebook for cars that i don't know about?
My boy in Chicago had a Cavalier and bought the legit Bomex bodykit and it made the car almost undrivable...it was crazy! He had some Sprint dropsprings and that bodykit was on the ground. It looked almost good though.
