What are people getting out of these motors stock? I'd say maybe at around 1 bar or so would be able to get both into the 300 range wouldn't it? THat should easily get into the 12's with a HF and slicks right?

 

Yeah, both the b16 and b18a's should be in the 300whp range with 1 bar, given the right turbo of course. That should easily put a HF in the 12's @ atleast 115mph with traction. Not building a racecar anymore Paul?

 

At 12psi, stock motor. Ran 13.0 @ 110mph.


But they are both good set up stock vs. stock.

yeh it ran that time more then full body, at 2750 actually. full tank, spare, tools, junk. I was running on a busted tranny as well so had to take it easy shifting. I can't wait to hit the track again. torque makes a difference, I prefer the LS but I am biased cause I own one. they both are good.

 

yeah, I love torque, but I also love the high revving vtec yO and teh short gearings...I was jsut thinking of jsut getting a b16 and when I have the time and moeny again, throw in another built ls block
