Yeah since you will have 2 times as many fuel injectors to deliver the power.

 

I've been told it makes more difference than an intake, a header, and an exhaust on a DPFI car.

 

night and day difference. you can actually move air and fuel w/ mpfi

 

yes, it's a big difference. well, it was to me. i also get better gas mileage.

 

yeah, people say it is the best mod to do to a DX.

 

ya it makes a very big difference, it actually makes your car feel like its got a brand new motor in it, and plus the stock cam will actually sound fukin awesome. i cant wait to see what my built d16 will do

 

after my swap in my 91 hatch, I racved my friend in his Z6 Del Sol and actualy kept ahead of him until 80mph. We both had al of our tools and jacks in the car too, and we both had DX transmissions in our cars, lol. but it was fun.

Cliff Notes: Do the swap, it's totally worth it!

 

Do any other mods on a DPFI is worthless before doing the MPFI swap. The TB opening on the DPFI is about the size of a golfball. It is very restrtictive; thus putting say, an intake tube of twice the diameter of the DPFI TB opening isn't really doing anything.

 

when i went from the dp to mp, it was a bigger difference than when i went from mp to ZC. and it's ****** LOUD with mp. at least compared to dual point...

 

DP was like one of the dumbest ideas Honda ever had. My MP swaps are night and day, and I mean its way more fun. I am just keeping the DX motor with MPFI for a while. Not gonna do a swap on the car.

 

how much was it to do a full conversion?? any examples because im interested in doing this because somewhere in the future, i will have to do this for a b16 swap...thanks guys

 

well i bought a whole d16a6 for 100 bucks off of a H-t member. and i got the dizzy for free and the ecu cost me 50 bucks.

i raced my buddy that had a d16z6 del slo, from a 3rd gear punch on the freeway at 80 i pulled hard on him. like real hard. i have i/h/e and a couple small things. he had just a intake

 

do the mpfi. to this day theres only 1 b16 thats ever beaten me w/ my 88 d15b1 block. im still non vtec btw

 

Ive been told that the conversion will cost bout $1500 CAN jus for labour. Thats alot of $'z. I can get a DOHC SiR motor for $3000 installed, but i dun have that cash. It doesn't cost that much in labour? Does it?? Please lemmie know

 

WHAT? 1500 for a DPFI swap??? Man, I'd do it for you for 150 bucks if you lived around me. That's absurd. Do it yourself or find a HT member that will help you with it.
