Default Civic Type R decals

i know its the biggest riceboy thing to do, but the more i see them the more i like the way they look. what do you think? im not talking about the decals on any old coupe, im talking about putting them on a 96-00 hatchback, with type r lips, moldings, wing, grille, engine swap, and paint matched everything. rock the vote, thanks

i don't really like the idea of trying to pass your car off as something it isn't. even with all that stuff, it still isn't a CTR. but that's just me, if you like them then it's your car and you do whatever floats your boat.

uh...i don't think so.

ok, you have a 99-00 hatch. you put in a b16b, LSD tranny, CTR lips, spoilers, grille and don't forget the STICKERS. hmmm...my bad. i guess it would be a civic type r then.

well thats like saying everyone who has slipstreams are trying to pass them off as spoons... its not true.
only if they put spoons stickers on their car and tell people that they're spoon wheels.

i don't think their is a relation between rota wheels and Type R stickers. Do what you want. Personally I don't like it much, but if its what you like then do it. It doesn't bother me either way.

if you were just wondering, i fail to see why you got all defensive when i posted my OPINION. i said that you can do whatever you like to your car but i wouldn't put those stickers on my car for just those reasons.

stupid thread....

if i was being defensive, that is why. that had nothing to do with this thread... i was asking if you thought it looked good on the car, not if you think passing your car off as something it isn't is cool.

I would, if I had some parts to represent. It adds some flavor to the car and is reppin a well built car that yours is modeled after. It's not about just the sticker...it's about what that sticker means....ready to race.

I'd do it if I had the goodies

Or this...don't put Honda badges on your Acura...don't put a CRX decal on your del sol....etc.

ctr parts on a usdm base model hatch doesnt make it a ctr.

thats like me putting EX emblems on my dx coupe, whether because I have a bunch of ex parts on it, or because I like the way the ex emblem looks, it just doesnt float my boat. its still a dx.

a label denotes a certain type of something.

not my cup of tea but to each his own i guess.

if anything id put an LS badge on a type R

id rather see a civic with CTR front/rear lips and spoiler with a CTR sticker than some guy with altezzas and 5 12's yO

doesn't look gay, but it looks stupid as ****. If the car is so fast, why does it need to have type R stickers on it? it should be a proud "fast" gsr, not a gsr that's fast that wants to be a type r. what exactly makes it a type R? no matter how fast, how many R parts it has, the fact still remains the same, it will never be a type R. it'll get WAAY more props as a fast gsr than fast type R wannabe. same goes for an ek, i don't care if you got every single CTR part in an ek, it will never be a ctr.

it has a JDM front end, he likes it, he's a HIGHLY respected tuner and racer....it was put on before any of you guys even knew what a Type R was probably.

it even beats my room mates real Type R that is turbo charged

edit- it only has a sleeved GSR block...not entire GSR engine

Dude, that was pretty harsh man, it's not the car's fault it was bron a gsr.

I don't care what the car has on it, it's not a Type R and never will be so what difference will the sticker make?
