Default Tranny help...help buy the correct parts. Lets get it right the first time.

B16a1 in a crx...droped the tranny, oil puddle, nice chunk of metal.
Decent up grades, IHE. Will be turbo'ing in a year or so. also daily driven.

1. What tranny's will fit? civic/integra. Also concider axels fitting.
Why one is better than other? gear ratios?

2. FLy wheel?
Aasco aluminum 8lb $260 shipped ? Toda chome-moly 8lb $450?
Integra R 11lb? for $230
other options?
please recommend and comment on what you know.

3. Clutch?
stage 2 prolly
preferences on ACT..clutchmasters

combination clutchmaster kit?

1. All cable B-series trannies will fit. I would recommend 92-93 GSR (rebuildable in US good gearing), S1 or J1 (Nice numerically high gears), or if you want LSD, YS1 (kjeep in mind they don't hold up too wheel on slicks).

2. Flywheel. What kind of motorsports do you do? I hear that you can go to light for dragracing, so I'd stick with 11 lbs. Personally, I got my stock Y1 flywheel lightened to 12 lbs.

3. Clutch. Well, in my opinion ACT is the best. You should probably go for the 2nd stage. Not the mildest, but the next stage up, since you're going turbo. Personally, I'm running aHeavy Duty (lightest stage). I do know a guy that runs 12.6's with a turboed B18C on slicks with just a heavy duty and t's held up, but better safe than sorry

How do you feel bout a 90-91 ls tranny? It might be cheaper and easier to find.

Flywheel... I think I found JUN 11lb $250-300, I think thats an excellent decision.
going to do some rescearch to find out if its aluminum or chrome.

ACT stage 2 is a great choice. What do you think bout exedy?

Also...should I upgrade the pressureplate?

you'll be better off with a 92-93 YS1(ls). the 90 S1, has weak internals. it might not hold the power you'll be putting down for long!
