old injectors
What could be an effect of old or dirty injectors? And when is a good mileage to replace them??
Also if my steering wheel vibrates when I do high speed braking 70-40 or anything on the freeway, what is the most likely problem??
Thanks

dirty injectors will mke your car run rough and seem like it is missing i never change them unless they are bad
the braking problem are warped rotors you can either resurface them or replace them ... to me it isnt worth resurfacing i rather buy new ones .... but then again i get a discount and usually pay about 20.00 each for brembos.... ( not drilled or slotted)

so any acceleration lag I have is probably do to a dirty fuel filter and not the injectors.
And the rotors being warped?? Can I go to a junkyard and get newer ones?? or a whole brake setup off of another honda?? Or should I go and buy OEM honda's??
Thanks

you can always pay 50 buck to clean all four of them
I just bought new ones at 100k miles. Even if the old ones flow correct volume (big if) the flow pattern may not be symetrical after high mileage. After 100k mile mine were pretty dirty. I am waiting to see the flow data from RC to see if the cleaning improved the performance. Probably early next week. I will post numbers if they are significant.

I'll probably replace the fuel filter first (monday). So getting injectors cleaned costs how much?? or getting them tested or checked?? what or who is RC
About my brakes. Whats the best way, resurfacing or junkyard brake upgrades??

Did a visual check of the brake rotors and they looked ok. No odd lines or anything not normal. pads also looked ok.
Havent bought fuel filter yet. saved for monday.
Anything else to check?

What needs to be done to check the o2 sensor?? or replace?? how much $$
For my model, 97 EX they are $80 from www.oxygensensors.com. For a 93 not sure. Probably a lot less. Ohh,, just checked,,, yours is $90 for OEM fit. You can get universal (no connector) and splice for $60.
BTW,,, changing fuel filter on my model is no easy job. Its way up under firewall. I think on yours it may be under rear passenger side quarter panel and a lot easier to change.

yeah no money for the o2 sensor and I dont think thats the problem. Its feels more fuel delivery.
Someone told me there were 2 on my car and one is a pain to change. I'll find the easy one and change it.
As far as the brakes, I'll take it to a shop to have them tell me what the deal is. Hopefully for cheap

Changed my fuel filter toady. Couldnt tell a difference, hopefully I'll get better gas mileage at the least.
and yes it was a pain, had to pull of some control box on the passenger side (in front of firewall), then take a impact wrench to break free the bolt that connected the line to the fuel rail, then undid the line from the tank (i think), then pulled it out and put the new one in. Found out that the screw that holds the brace that holds the filter to the firewall was gone, scrounged around in the shop until I found one that fit, then had a hell of a time fitting the new filter into place. since my old filter wasnt put in right the metal tubing was all bent. So brute force was used to put it back into place.
basically a 30 min job turned into 3 hr's of fun in the shop. But I didn't blow up!
overjoyed thats its finished.
