hrm.... if i don't finish the cruise control installation soon i'll probably be driving down a 2000 TL... curious to see what that puts down to the wheels... not a bad ride, especially on the highway. shiftomatic is really dumb though.

i'm leaving pittsburgh the morning of june 27th... as per the other post... hopefully we can meet up and find some ladies in orlando.

What kind of dyno is at the shop?

John? Dynojet?
Yes, it is a Dynojet model 248c, capable of measuring 1200hp, ie way more than at least 5 of the ITR's there could muster put together! By that time, I should also have the air/fuel ratio monitor, so you can see exactly where you stand in that department also. Also, I meant to mention that I do not have a printer (because they kept breaking and HP would not fix them), so I just put the runs on floppy disk in .bmp format. I find that most people like this better anyway. Cheers

typer98: 3.5-4 hours each way. Best way would be to take I-75 North, eventually you'll hit I-275 North which will go through St Pete, from there you can take a number of ways to get to Clearwater. Once John posts the address or a close-by intersection you can use mapquest to get an exact distance/route with an estimated (~speed limit) time.

Default Here are the directions

Here's the fastest, easiest way - From Tampa, that is: South I-275 over the Howard Franklin Bridge. Take exit 16 (Roosevelt Blvd). On the exit ramp, take the right turn. Follow Roosevelt approximately 1 mile to first traffic signal (28th St). Take a left turn onto 28th street. Keep right, follow gentle bend to first traffic signal (118th Ave). Turn right at the light. Follow approximately 1/4 mile. Keep an eye on the right, look for two rows of light blue buildings with white trim. The dyno is located on the right hand side, unit #10 towards the back.

The physical address is 3201 118th Ave N. but I don't know the zip code. It's near the corner of 28th Street and 118th Ave in St Petersburg.

NAB: Depends on where about Atlanta you live, but according to MapQuest it's:
Total Distance: 471.3 miles ( 758.5 km) Total Estimated Time: 8 hours, 3 minutes

from "Atlanta, GA" to the Address John listed.

thanks, I just might need a hand Dave.

NAB20c5 - We might have some time to get you in for some tuning. If not, I'm sure Kenji and I would be willing to do some tuning the day after or perhaps the day before. It's your call there. If you are interested, email me at vapor1@tampabay.rr.com or kenji211@gte.net.

Also, since this is being held on a Saturday, I'd be willing to lend you all a hand in discovering some after hours racing. We have a pretty decent scene at times, just lots of ricers

John: If you do, email me or call (kenji should have my number). And if we do go to the street racing scene, I'm hoping you'll just skip the miami subs rice night and just go up north? (do the ricers even meet at miami subs anymore?)

Well, if you figure 470 miles at an average speed of 80MPH, that'd be about 5.9 hours. @ 60mph that be 7.8 hours, @100mph average speed it'd be 4.7 hrs.. so I guess it depends on how fast you drive.

I don't even go up to Miami Subs anymore. http://www.tamparacing.com meets up at VanDyke and Dale Mabry behind the Ronnie Setsers car show in the old movie theatre parking lot. They run a pretty nice meeting up there, don't allow burn outs or stupidity, and enforce it pretty well. Cops rarely hassle us up there, and even when they do they let us stay. I've stayed out there til 3am just bullshi**ing before From there, they usually hit the usual spots, some new ones, whateva. But the rice content is really low.

I've driven from Tampa to ATL in 7 hours not going ***** out. If you drive fast, you can make it in like 6 no problem. My fiance used to make it in FIVE going 120+ the whole way ... CRAZY.
