Check engine light????
I have an 89 std hatch with a B16a swapped into it. My dad, me and a honda technician did the swap at my house. I have been driving the car around for a couple mothns now and everything seems to work. The vtec X-over is at 5 grand and i have no compalints but my check engine light stays on and its not even throwing out a code. It just lights up and never turns off. Please help sorry for the long post!
Hmmm... doesn't turn off. Are you sure there is no code? BTW, a code zero means Dead ECU... but you are still driving, so I assume that your ECU is not dead. Weird.

hehehehe mine will do the same thing but its off and on. Car will run like **** turn it off wait a second and then its back to normal with no CEL. I also threw a code 68 its another wonderful fluke.. good luck on finding the problem though. your ECU is light and CEL light are both staying on one just you CEL right. If its just the CEL bulb may be blown or have a wire unhooked, just an ider
I was thinking for just pulling the light out but i don't know if there is a real problem, my ecu is porlly not out, could it be the wrong ecu for the motor or something???/ just an idea? HELP
I had a similar prob when I did my b18a swap. Check to make sure all of your wiring conversion connections are soldered and wrapped very good. If you have bad connections and still have the prob then check other problems.
That could be the reason, we had to solder some wires together because some of the clips on the used hasport wire harness i got were broken but doesn't the motor go into safe mode when all the sensors aren't plugged or have a bad connection??? HELP if anyone else had a simliar problem. The CEL buggs the hell out of me.

The car doesnt always go into limp mode. It just throws a light. lol. Ne way I just know that I had a very similar prob and fixed it just thought Id give some advise. I would just go check all of your connections and make sure they are all good to go. Fix any bad looking connections. And then if your still throwing a light let us know.
I disconnected my battery for a hour and started it up and the same thing keeps happening. I checked all the connections and everything seems to be fine, all the grounds and connectors, etc.... What's the problem????anything else it could be.
