i recently had my t1r canister put on (aj-racing ) and i was curious to see if the tip will eventually color from the heat. Any pics feel free to post. thanks

 

I'm pretty sure colored tips only come like that...not 100% sure though =\

 

my tip is colored, just around the end tho

 

I have the HKS carbonfiber TI on my R and it came with the colored tip. It has not changed in color since I've had it. I have been using it for about 7 months now. I don't know for a fact, but I hear that it does that from being heated at a different temp. It has to be a couple hundred Degrees I am sure.

 

hmm, well now i just dont know, if i can rember disordeR posted pics after install and 3 months later of his t1r and that defintly lookd to be a differnt color.

btw my freinds mkiv supra has the hks carbon/ti exhaust and that changed color.

thread will prolly get locked by this comment but i want my t1r to color change like my jerome baker.

 

Disorder's tip has turned a golden brown. My friend's has yet to turn that dark but it has changed to a light color...similar to the header but not as deep. The b-pipe also changed color too.

 

does anyone know what is going on with the aj-racing website?

 

mine has been slowly changing since i got it. its a universal jan speed muffler...full ti. seems to be getting lighter the more i drive the car.



color has also moved closer to the canister...almost whole tip.
