15x7 wheels with 205/50 azenis: what offset will not rub?
on a stock R (suspension/brakes), what offset range will NOT rub?
i'm guessing 38+ - 43+ should be ok. i don't want to rub the frame or the fenders in front or the lca in the rear. please respond with experience and not what you think.
i've found that 205/50 azenis on stock wheels will rub at full lock on my car. no problems during suspension compression.

There's been a lot of talk recently about the +38 K1's. Maybe it's because the Tire Rack is out of the +45's. From what I understand it's getting hard to find them...

.....I thought rodney and greyteg told me that the 15x7 +43 te37's would rub with the 205 azenis. That was stock suspension though. What are you running?
good. it looks like i can order any of the light/cheap wheels in the 38-45 offset range (tdr prorace, kosei k1, upcoming rota slipstreams, stern aguzze) without worries of rubbing. my favorite so far are the stern aguzze and prorace. apparently usa team dynamics dealer can drill a blank prorace wheel (several offset choices) to your particular lug dimensions.
I don't know why your going crazy looking for 15x7s... Just save a whole lot of cash and get the Rotas, I know they are 15x6.5 but they are a world of difference better then the stock wheels with the Azenis.

45m + 5mm spacer = 40mm offset = close enough.

yes, they are hard to find...tell me about it

But don't you worry about getting enough bite with the lug nuts using a 5mm spacer and the K1's? Speaking of which, I've been thinking about installing longer studs for use my open end lugs. Anyone got a line on a kit to make the conversion easy? I'm getting ready to do brakes before the Expo anyway, I figured while I was there I'd do the studs too.

5mm should not pose a problem, IMO. When i used them last year on the lunchbox, i had 10 turns or so before the were seated and i never had any trouble.
As always good point .RJ

Don't settle.
down the road i'll get a set of 15x7 38+ kosei k1 + 225/45 kumhos for autox.
i'm **** and poor, therefore, the decision process is painfully slow, but it makes the purchase so much more fun.
yep, it's aguzze or prorace; i'd paint either dark bronze (black R). the aguzze is 43+ and i think the prorace can be had in 40+ or 45+.
the aguzze is a discontinued wheel so i would buy 5 of them (1 spare for damage) for $500 shipped. i could get 4 prorace for about $500 + shipping.
