Default cruise control not working

So i removed the cruise, sunroof, and dimmer switches to put in the LEDs i've got... the sunroof and dimmer work fine.... the cruise control light will not come on when the button is depressed (with all stock bulbs in there, haven't touched it yet) my car will not set either, so its not just the light being out (which i tried several good bulbs too)... anyone have any ideas????

I checked the fuse, its good

make sure everything is plugged in...EVERYTHING.
find the cruise box under the dash and follow every lead and make sure they are connected.
if that doesnt work, get a helms and a DMM and have fun...

i had the same problem. didnt get it fixed until i got my helms in and could test all the leads. burnt clutch switch....$30

fuse #14 7.5A under dash fuse box (Cruise control fuse), By the look of the diagram , you have the switch on the power side of the circuit, and the light and the actuator run parallel off of the switch, so if both dont work sounds like you are getting now power to it, check the fuse first, and if not that make sure you are getting power to the switch

well......... it looks as though the positive lead is shorted somewhere.... so i need to test everywhere down the line until i find it.... i'm guessing the wires are all wrapped and bundled together and i'll have to rip 'em all apart? how expensive is a new harness?

alot more than you want to pay, usually shorts will happen at connections, (might be a short or just an open), check all your connetors in that circuit, make sure the pins are making contact in the connector

hey, if i don't sell my car, i'll sell you my complete cruise control if you like... or just the harness... hit me up later if you still need it (if you don't fix it that is)
good luck
