EL Kameleon? wat other face decks?
do you think the Kameleon is a okay deck? my price range is like 250...probably less...im thinking about gettin some speakers but in the future...cuz im broke

if you want a cool place for kameleons cheap...check out ubid.com. i got the first kameleon (kdlx-300) two years ago for $181, shipped. not that many points over dealer price! they carry a lot of jvc for some reason...just buy new, not refurbished stuff. they should have the newer kameleons there (the 111, and the higher 333)
clarion's new line for 2003 is the best bang for the buck....go for the 235 (should cost around 150 or so, reads CDR/CD-RW), or the 336MP (plays mp3's and reads the ID3 tags as well as CD-R/CD-RW, but doesn't read CD-text off a regular audio cd for some reason....200 at the most.)
the only downside to clarion (or upside if you want) is that the screen stays lit even with no key in the ignition. it makes you take the face-off though hehe.
in my experience, i'd skip sony decks
JVC's has good bang for the buck, but sometimes it can't read CD-R's that have been played repeatedly in a sony deck. tihs is sony's fault though...the CD really heats up after having been played a while in my sony xplode deck.
a deck i'm looking at is the alpine 7995! expensive though, check it out

I like my Clarion deck, but they don't support XM and they don't have an MP3 compatible cd changer

my bad, sorry for the wrong info! when i was testing the deck outside of the car, i had a constant supply of power, unlike the car where you can turn off the accessories. it does turn off, if you put it in a car. it's all the vapors and sheeyit.
oh yeah, clarion supports sirius, in case you wanna switch from xm. i dunno how either of them are, though.
