you'd also have to convert to hydro tranny...Why not the b16a1?

Your going to have to ask some specific questions man.

As far as obd you have to determine what you want out of the car and what suits your needs.

Yeah what you want out of it. What are your performance goals, ie. n/a, fi, is it a daily driver, or a track car, so on and so forth.

Also what type of problems are you worried about? Anything in particular that gets you worried.

ok, its going to be a daily driver that I may turn into an autocross car. I heard something about the b16a2's having some trouble getting into a CRX? I dont know what problems they were, thats why i was asking. are there any problems with this particular conversion that I need to be concerned about?

the a2s were in the delsol right? and the delsol was designed off the civic chassis so it shouldn't be a problem

I dont know, upon further lines of thinking.. I says to myself: "Self, why not go with the a1?" you wouldn't lose any horsepower." what are some of the differences between cable and hydrolic trannys? any advantages over one or the other? you guys are helping me out a ton. thank you so much.

hydraulic is much easier to press the pedal, but cable makes you feel more "connected" to the car. if you're a man, you can handle a cable

just clutch engagement, nothing else, besides all b series trannies are swappable.

I prefer cable tranny like I prefer manual steering. With cable tranny you can "feel" the clutch better....There's not really a BIG advantage or disadvantage...The JDM b16A1 swap would be easier and cheaper...

The a2 was in the 99-00 si as well.

If your not concerned with having a hydro tranny get the a1, it cheaper and easier, as far as the tranny goes.

Putting the engine in the car is no problem at all just do your research and take your time.

Okay. First off, you DON'T need to use a hydraulic transmission with a 2G B16A. A 1G B16A cable transmission works fine as long as you use a clutch disk from a pre-1992 car. Also, you will need the 1988-1991 SIR or 1990-1993 Integra driver's side bracket and rear transmission bracket, as the 2G B16A brackets are different and will NOT work with typical ED/EF mount kits. As for the wiring, the best thing to do is use the P30 ECU that comes with the 2G B16A. You will get more power if you do. And you will NOT have to get a different distributer (as you would if you went with a PR3/PW0 ECU). You can do the wiring yourself (it is lengthy but not hard). Or you can buy adaptor harnesses (probably for less than a PR3/PW0 ECU and distributer).
