zeal b6 vs. buddy club racing spec coilovers
hey, what have you guys heard about these two coilovers. i use my itr 70 percent at the track and i've been using the stock suspension for the past 5 year so i want to make the change to coilovers. anyway the guys at r&d motorsport are telling me that the buddyclub is the better system cause they use it in their honda challenge car and has 15 instead of 6 adjustments. plus it's 200 cheaper. i just wanted to hear what you guys think.

yeah thanks for the warm welcome! i just did the search.
yeah i did talk to david at r&d. i was plannig on just running the regular setup but, i read that people experienced a lot o d understeer. do you guys think oing to the 14 in rear is neccesary or just going with a jdm rear bar?

for someone who "tracks there itr 70% of the time" should know there answers to the questoins your asking about understeer and what steps you should take next to help fix it...
those guys at r&d don't know ish anyway...

i guess i never took the time to think about the consequences of my actions!!
I think he may mean 14K (spring rate) in rear.
Good luck on finding your favorite setup.
Bought my BC's from Dave @ R&D. He's a stand-up guy. They are well made coil-overs. I looked at several others including the Zeals (which are also very nice). I went with the BC's because they have more adjustment and handle a little higher spring rate. Also, you can very easily shorten the body of the shock without changing the suspension travel.

for the most part you guys helped me out. thanks. i did catch that thread about swapping the springs front to back. i think just go with the 12f/8r and see how that handles then make adjustments if neccesary.
oh yeah somebody needs to tell itr764 the difference between "their and there".

I'm currently running the 8k front 12k rear setup for HPDE's. I like it a lot but do recommend keeping them at 12k front and 8k rear untill you get some experience with the car. Several BC owers are also running 12k front 14k rear. I'm hoping to try that next. Gotta get my hands on some 14k springs.
I'm running the Tein RE's with the springs swapped, 10kg/mm front and 14kg/mm rear. I've only gotten this setup out on track one time (VIR, 4 rain sessions and 2 somewhat dry) but as far as I can tell it seems very well balanced. I was worried about the car being very loose but that wasn't the case.
Anyway. your asking for opinions on the coilovers. First, running the 10k F 14K R is almost unbearable on the street, something you may want to consider. Second, the coilovers you are comparing are very similar. The Zeal B6 and Buddy Clubs offer almost the same features. Both have about the same adjustment range, spring rates, pillow mounts, steel bodies, and single large pistons designs(42mm and 46mm). But the Zeal's are serviceable in the USA, so that would be my choice.
