It's all gonna be in the driver...
Because the only way that car is gonna get a good E.T. is by one hell of a careful launch...
So, I guess what I"m saying is that you don't have to worry about the Stunna boys in them... cause they won't know how to launch!

only thing stopping me is the mentality that boost + dodge = boom
its probably a myth and its probably a decent car, its just that i have not been impressed by the build quality of dodge, not even the interior
i've driven a dodge neon (2003) and the interior made me feel that i just walked out of a plastic coating factory.

Don't forget it all started here meng..........
oh yeah was'nt the dodge neon the offical scca car to use back in the day ?
I've driven a neon 5sp in 98, and was pretty imprerssed on how in handled turnes with a great balance of f/r weight transfer. Even though the car looks like chit and interior is chit i gotta give it props for it's road manners.
a reminder on how early dodge was in the whole sport compact market..BAM!

even so...for a turbo charged 2.4 liter, low 14's is dead slow. Evos are 2.0L and do a hell of a lot better..same for WRX
I recall seeing a time slip from a supposedly stock SRT-4 of a 14.1 @ 99mph.
If I bought a neon, I'd have to swap the driver seat ASAP. The fuggin thing is too high for the windshield, I was starring at the fuggen sun visor the whole weekend I was driving it last summer. And I'm not tall, they went a little crazy with the stupid cab forward design
i don't even want to know what the build quality is like. Vipers are built like complete ***. Like someone just threw them together. and that is the expensive dodge, so I'd hate to see what problems arise with the cheap dodge

But remember...all these times are STOCK! As anyone knows, turbo cars respond amazingly well to simple mods and will drop those times considerably. Take my car for example...4-door turbo 2 liter like the WRX and EVO....stock 1/4 is only about a mid 15 at best....Ive got less than $1,000 into go-fast mods and its already 13's.
Besides acceleration is only one side of the story...i think the neon would make a badass little autox car.
I don't drive anything but Honda.
It's a Dodge =

who gives a fuq bout the SRT-4? my neighbor has one and i park my caged R right next to it everyday just to egg him on.
:edit: cause my spelling sucks a fat one just like the SRT-4

From what i've read there isn't much room for improvement. The engine is pretty tapped out as far as being able to handle more power.
Dodge has 3 warrantied upgrade levels. Stage 3 is 300hp, 300ft-lbs.

Yea sure....do some research before posting what you don't know.

Are those packages on the same base engine?
