Default Any ABS specialists here?

I posted a while back about my ABS problem:

symptoms were:

-ABS doesn't work unless you remote start the car
-ABS will work if you start the car without waiting for the fuel pump to finish priming

But lately after I was playing with a few connections in the fusebox, just pushing on them....I got one of the connectors to click into place a bit better....

-ABS will work when the car sits over night and is started for the 1st time

BUT

will not work once the car has already been started, shut off and started again.

I have checked the error code and it's not one I'm particularly thrilled with....it says that I have to replace the ABS computer......!?

So in effect, I have intermittent ABS ......

did you reset the ABS Code/computer? it's a different process from reseting the ECU.

Fyrestarter: I've followed the recommended procedure detailed in the book and it involves a whole buncha key turning, brake pressing.... light observing.... and sure enuff...even if I reset it properly....it'll come back on....

RA: That sucks. We had a 97 here with a code 81 but reseting it fixed it.

I don't know...tell me how much you want to pay and I'll see if I can get it for that, or less. This is the computer that is behind the passenger's seatbelt, correct?
