I recently aquired a 93 prelude without an engine for $800. What could I drop in there for under a grand that would make a decent car.

be patient and look for an already built engine for sale.. i found a fully built h23 block for a 1,000 with less than a 1,000miles on it..

As a matter of fact, mister smarty pants, I do know what Dislexia is. By the way, your way off. Dislexia is condition that causes a person to mix up two different words in a sentence, NOT, reading the sentence backwards.

For Example, a normal person would read the following sentence.

I like to eat apples

However, a person with dislexia would read the same sentence like this

I like eat to apples


See? your not soo smart

yeah, you'll run into a lot of smart people here... you just have to deal with it
as far as the engine, try to find a used H23A motor. there are a lot of people who do H23 to H22 conversions. i'm sure there are ppl on this board who would be glad to sell you their motor.
so does your car have a tranny? ecu? or is it missing everything?
i could hook you up with a JDM H22A VTEC longblock for $1000 to $1200 depending on miles/condition. so if you already have your H23 tranny and ECU, you could just drop this in and make it run. then save up some more money and get the H22 ECU and tranny later. and viola! you have a VTEC prelude.
