It would be about equal. D16Z6s have around 125-130hp, ZC is 130hp. Only thing is, your redline is at 6500 on your D16 block. the ZC goes to 8000. Totally different feel for the car when you can go to 8000....safely. If you want to blow your motor, run your mini-me up to 8000.

but the ZC does not rev to 8K...... they cant handle it... they rev up to 7200..... same redline as a stock Z6... and the Z6 have 125-130 stock to the flywheel..
when he asked he asked about WHP. and i said as for me i think i might have 120-125 to the wheels.....

yes the ZC redline is 7200. even if you do rev your stock ZC up to 8000 i can almost be sure you aren't making power that high with the stock cams, so it is pointless. with a Z6 or Y8 you could rev it to 8000 if you built it right internally.

thanks
i was under the impression that comparing a d16a6/d16z6/zc to a mini-me was like comparing a gsr motor to an ls/vtec motor
most dyno's i've seen, the mini-me makes a little more torque and overall power than a dohc zc/d16z6
if you've got a good candidate, go for it. a friend of mine has a 94 dx that we're doing a mini me on with bolt-ons, some fuel mods, and a pretty large cam. we're shooting for 14's on street tires...all with an si tranny of course
