d16a1 pistons
Hey folks!!!
i have a set of pistons out of an 88 integra D16A1, and i'm putting them in my D16a6 civic si...i have new connecting rods for them, but i was wondering what kind of compression gains are they going to give me??? i am going to put a cam with it and the port and polish on the head is done..
Any info would be great
Thanks
Mike

10.78:1 - p29 pistons, d16a6 head gasket, no mill on head
11.08:1 - p29 pistons, d16y8 head gasket, no mill
11.69:1 - p29 pistons, d16y8 head gasket, milled 0.020"
are you using the rods from the a1 or the a6? or are they the same? let us know how they work...ie. is there any piston to valve contact.

the d16a1 pistons are pg7 not p29...
the 86-89 ecu is a pg7
86-87 USDM Integra - D16A1 - piston = PG6B
88-89 USDM Integra - D16A1 - piston = P29
88-91 JDM Civic Si - ZC - piston = PM7
88-91 USDM CRX Si - D16A6 - piston = PM6
92-95 Civic Ex/Lx/Si - D16Z6 - piston = P28
96-00 Civic Ex/Lx - D16Y8 - piston = P2P

I had 88 Teg pistons in my Z6 before the oil pump went to ****. I used the Teg rods with Z6 rings and bearings. ran kickass for a 4DR. ET 15.0 on 16's with 40's and full interior, DX trans, stock clutch.
