golden eagle block owners ...take a look
when my block was returned from their company it was stepdecked .003, like all their blocks . my machinist checked it. anyways, should this be a concern . i know .003 is like paper thin, but in the world of building performance engines, everything is critical, especially the small stuff. i plan to run boost with this motor like next year. i know that some farm tractors (i know i live in north dakota) have stepdeck to compensate for high boost. so my question is, should i have my machinist make it flat or just leave it alone. thanks
My GE block has a step deck of .004 and i have about 500 miles on this motor buildup and the motor is doing great.
I would just use the block the way it is..
just make sure that all of the sleeves stick up excatly the sime height.
