Default rear doors

Hey guys my friend was looking at an accord I am not sure what year but it is an early 90's 4 door. Anyways all the door handles have been shaved and it has poppers on the front two but on the back there is nothing. The guy said popper on the back do not work well because of something with the hinges and the way the door is made. Can anyone confirm this? If so why is that and how hard would it be to make it so they work well? Thanks guys

I've seen poppers in the back doors on many accords at the shows. no problems reported.
