Default diy rim painting dilemma!

I've been wanting to paint my stock swirls for a long time now, and I think I'm going to do it this weekend. I need some suggestions firs though....help me out guys...

should i paint it gunmetal, gunmetal leave lip polished,bronze??..Should I go for a matte finish or glossy like type-r rims?..those pictures make the gunmetal kind of dark, I'm looking more for a type-r rim color. help me out guys...

IMO just leave em alone and save up for something else. you can a decent buck for those wheels.

If you want all the focus to be on the wheels of your car then go for the bronze. I personally like bronze, but do not like the way it looks pictured below. Look at all three pictures, the bronze is the only picture that pulls away from viewing the car as a whole. The first two pictured have seem to do so less, I would choose number 2 first, then number one 1. Think about what else, if anything, that you are planning to do with the car; color and size wise, it will help with your decision.

I would definitely paint the whole wheel if it were me, because there's not enough of a separate "lip" like on the 97 GS-R mesh wheels to justify leaving it unpainted. 97 mesh wheels work well with a polished lip, 94-95 and 98-01 wheels don't.

i think you should sell em first. you could get a pretty penny from some riced out bling blinger, or just anyone looking for some 15s. I do agree, the will probobly look good painted, BUT you could probobly get a better ( lighter ) rim and more your own style (since thats sucha big thing now).

I like black, gunmetal or bronze, cant go wrong on a black car. have fun.

I agree with others on leaving them stock and selling them. Those rims can get you a good amount of cash if they are unpainted. But if you are really set on painting them, it's a hard decision for me...but I think i like the gunmetal the best.

Damn, bronze looks good. I'll have to photochop my gunmetal GSR wheels bronze and see what they look like.

leave it the "bling bling" look..sell it and buy some rims that are already color coated and not spray painted

if they're in good condition, keep them as is ...if not, paint them gunmetal & clear coat them... save for a new set of rims...then u'll have 2 sets of wheels to switch on and off with
