Default People with D16y8 intake mani swap.

I just finished installing my Y8 mani to the A6 engine, and i'm running B&M adj FPR. I would like to know what is the best psi setting for this swap? BTW, i'm running a y8 rails and y8 FPR. I will some pics of the swap tomorrow.

I run 40PSI but thats only because I have a Walbro 255 LPH/HP fuel pump and thats as low as I can get it. I would suggest about 36-38 usually

yeah id put it to stock...which i think mine is like 34-36psi. whatever lets it idle good. how didi you run all of the vaccum lines? i was mapping mine out and i think there needs to be one more line in the manifold for everything. but i just looked real quick so ill have to check again.

One plugs in the back, one on the front for the FPR and your car should only have 1 hose left which is the map sensor which if your using the Z6/Y8 T/B its on top extend the harness.....

I set mine to 35 psi idle. I still have a lil prob with the throttle cable it seems my gas pedal is pretty mushy compare to the old one so i have to adjust it. I fabricate my own throttle cable bracket, but it seems pretty flimsy so i have to get the OE ones. The vacuum lines are pretty much the same, but i have a prob with the EVAC tube(seats below the PCV tube nozzle). I think the EVAC for our D16a6 is small tube compare to the d16y8 engine. If i'm right this tube reside to the purge valve thingy that sits right next to the fuelfilter(the small round black thing with hoses) So what i did is get a extra hose and shove a nut at the end and plug this baby into the EVAC tube in the manifold. Now, the Y8 manifold has an extra nozzle for the cruise control nozzle, it sits in the bottom part of the manifold. Since the diameter of this nozzle is the same diameter as the tube from the A6 EVAC, i just plugged it in over there and it works fine. I'm running late for school, so I will post some pics tonight and it explain it thorougly. BTW, this swap really wakes up the mid and top end power of the A6 whoa!

P.S. I'm running a stage 1 crane cam so it will varies the out put from diff cars.

About the throttle backet, Use the old Y8 one and flip it over. Works like a charm

Yeah, i need a y8 bracket, but the funny thing is i used the a6 cable bracket. I flipped that thing but still sits higher so what i did is used a extra piece aluminum plate and bend it. I used this to lower the bracket and it seem to work fine but i need more sturdiness out of it so i have to check on this.
