Default 2-3 grand stumble on a ZC

I have a 91 HB with a DOHC ZC, and i am now having a bad stumble from 2-3 grand and my car is a little slower through the rest of the rpm band. I have replaced the cap, rotor, coil, plugs and wires. The timing belt is in great shape and it checks out perfect. I have no oil leaks and nothing of that sort. I was directed to this forum to seek my answer. I am now thinking it is the fuel filter or something but i dont want to replace the whole fuel system and still not fix the problem. I will try to check this as much as possible but if you do have the answer will you please email me at kolk1@yahoo.com thanks for your help

Check the dizzy. Have you checked your ECU for any codes? also checkout http://www.thezcresource.com

I think you need a new distributor.

check your timing, cam angle sensor and makes sure the timing belt didn't skip a tooth on the exhaust cam gear. try adjusting the timing on the dizzy and see if it goes away.

ok i just went out and replaced the O2 sensor and the fuel filter and i checked the exhaust cam and it lines up perfect. The one thing i need to look up is how to check the cam angle sensor, never done that before. I am also going to check the distributer to see if changing the timing a little will make it go away. I dont know if this will help but when i pulled out the O2 sensor the end was solid white, could this be caused by running to lean or rich, or is this commom with O2 sensors? Thanks for your help guys.

the cam angle sensor is located on the dizzy end of the exhaust cam. check the wiring.

so a code 9 and a 2k - 3k stumble? stumble as in missing or spuddering? if so take the dizzy off and check the igniter and coils.
