Head unit wiring harness.... Same for 93 civic and 97 civic?
So I previously had a 1993 civic sedan ex, it was totalled but I recovered all my audio stuff. I got a 97 ex coupe to replace it and I wanted to know if I could use the same wiring harness? I was told the keyless entry was wired through the head unit, therefor I thought I needed a new wiring harness. When I brought the new one home it appeared to be identical to my old one. This would be excellent because that way I won't have to re-wire the harnesses. Did they give me the wrong harness, or did I luck out?
I love this forum, someone's always knowledgable and willing to help.

yes it is the same harness, the only thing you need to do different is get a factory side harness (reverse harness) and wire it in for power and ground to the factory radio. the factory keyless is built into the factory deck and it needs to stay in the car for the keyless to remain functional. there is plenty of room inside the dash to fit both the factory and aftermarket radios. goodluck man
p.s. the part number on the harness you will need is 71-1720 and you can get that at a best buy or most local stereo shops.
