My OEM SideSkirt got messed up (underneath).. Anyone know why? w/ PICS
well I was thinking about that... and i'm only 1" all around so I haven't really bottomed out anywhere..
Even if I scraped against anything... it wouldn't bend DOWN right?
What if.. someone tried to :GASP: steal my rims and decided not to, but ripped the jack right out? Is that possible?

It's probably from someone trying to jack up your car. I had the same thing happen to my OEM sideskirt when I was getting my tires rotated at the shop, but the idiot didn't know what he was doing and due to the cold weather, the sideskirt cracked.
Thankfully, it's not noticeable unless you feel the bottom of the skirt.

Looks like something hot got to it and wraped it. ABS plastic will usually bend and pop back into shape or crack if bent too far. Your look like it was heated somehow. So anyone know what happen?

as for "confirming" it i dunno how anyone can confirm that it is melted outside of melting their own and comparing. heheh.. but if you can't tell when its mounted... why does it matter? can you tell when its mounted???

Same thing happened to me. The mechanic first blamed me for not mounting the side skirt on securely. I just gave me a stupid look and pointed to the lift and the part where the lift was bending my side skirt. the Sideskirt popped out and only ended up breaking one of the mounting clips.
Jerky mechanics who only know how to fix american cars. heh... i go to my friend's shop now and leave the poor workmanship to the cabbies they cater to. BAH

Well... I figured it out..
When I was replacing my exhaust (stock LS -> stock Type R), I had this huge flood light by the side of the car.. and I guess I left it on when I went for a break, then never realized it had melted some of my sideskirt
BUT..... its fixed!!! check this out:

so I used the light which caused the melting in the first place, to melt it (a little) and bend it back into place.. left it overnight and it came out perfect..
<-- happy
looks perfect now

the ITR exhaust.. I can't feel MUCH difference (mostly psychological) but it sure does SOUND like it flows better...The car sounds much throatier and deeper, especially at idle. I picked it up at a really good price so

I recommend it
