Wondering what some stock itr people are getting on their clutch life. Mine is at 60K and still feels fine. I don't launch or drag so I wouldn't know if it could take it.

qahh, after search, i find the truth. ill keep that in mind for the future. lock or delete this, sorry-

clutch life and driver abuse will have a suprisingly linear relationship

45,000 miles and grip is fading noticeably.

Mine lasted (err broke) after 49,700 miles. It couldn't handle the normal use (err abuse) from double clutching at 80 mph from 5th to 3rd gear.. I don't think i was giving it enough gas for a smooth transition. Now I rev match from 5th to 4th to 3rd.. Up to 65,000 miles on the odo now with the new clutch.

Tell them your power numbers and mods . . .

I'd say if you are easy on it 95,000 - 100,000 miles

My ITR clutch was upgraded (not because of wear) w/ 25 k on it and it still had a lot of life left. As a sidenote, my 91 ls clutch has 112k as of this afternoon, and it still grabs strong. Go figure.

Mines been slipping since 25k miles. It's not because of my driving though, it's because it had too much power running to it. I had a jrsc.

Mine lasted 100K. Never really got on it at all but when I pulled it out there was no friction material left.

Pulled mine @ 50k and it was in good shape. A few hot spots, and a loose spring or two, overall I was very impressed. I don't drive the **** out of my car, but I don't drive like a 90 year old women either

I'm sure my stocker would of lasted another 50k.

like i think its different for lots of ppl
some ppl just street the car
some ppl drive it spirited
some track it hardcore
some drag it hardcore
some kick the crap outta it
some barely drive it hard...
so u know honda says 125k maybe on normal driving hehe
but its no fun to drive normal

hmmmmm, must be your easy driving...mine lasted 78,000 (thanks for the help installing it - I know I'll be returning the favor soon).

btw - I drive very aggressively, but have always been able to be nice to clutches 'cause they're your friend!

I've seen them last up to 130-40k miles if driven without beating on them too much....but that's a rare find.

I don't drop the clutch at high RPM's from a start. (no need since I don't drag race) I don't autoX. I try to engage the clutch smoothly when I drive normal. But I manage to do some hardcore 8k RPM shifting a few times throughout the day. How badly would you say I treat my clutch?
