has anybody tried to make their door mounted seatbelt like an 88-89 (I think those are the ones not door mounted) people say it will take off about 30# and IMO looks and feels a lot better, anyone tried this conversion? how hard was it? what needed to be done?

 

i wanted to do this on my CRX but the mounts for locating belts onto the body aren't there...so would not just bolt in. i didn't like the idea of not having factory mounting for something as important as seatbelts so i abandoned the idea.

 

get a seat that comes with the belt...or, start doing the welding...there are only 4 nuts need to be welded
