Redline question on sols......
I owned a 95 DOHC VTEC sol last year and it redlined at 8250rpms. I test drove a 97 DOHC VTEC sol the other day and it only redlined at 8000. Also, it didn't feel quite as quick. Both had around 70,000 miles. Does anybody know the difference in the two engines? I know for sure mine was a b16a3. Thanks.

Indeed. The b16a2 was int he del Sol VTECs from 96-97. As for why it felt quicker, different engine. Not everyone engine out of the factory will run exactly the same. Of course there shouldn't be too big of a noticeable difference. Maybe one was beaten on more? One just had a tune up? I know after a good tune up my car feels nice :-D
