Default Type R Launch

A couple of my close friends and i were talking about launching, and what they launch at...etc..so my question is: what do most of you type r guys launch at? Not sure if this matters to most of you road racers, but i figured their is a drag racer in almost all of us.

don't worry, i know this one guy in a stock ITR goes to the track one day and dumps the clutch at 8400 wondering why he glazed his clutch...

Take your car to 3,500 slip the clutch, let it almost bog as you floor it, then you'll get better traction and better 60ft times... on slick 6,000 on up depending on torque

for all you 6000rpm pop the clutch'ers, are you all running slicks? or some sort of drag radials?
I've only tried the feather the clutch at 3-3.5k thing, and it worked for me, but I've been told popping the clutch at 6k is the better way to go, wonder if that's with slicks or works with any tires

on Azenis at 12 psi I launched at 4000, having instant TRQ, like mine will make you a little lighter on the launch.

I usually launch around 6-7,000rpms by riding the clutch slightly and modulating the throttle. The stock clutch held up to more than 200 such passes and 53,000mi before I changed it and it still wasn't dead.

By the way I've pulled a few 2.0 60' times on Potenza SO-3's so apparently the way I launch is decent.

I dont launch hard that often, so I dont have as much experience in this, but I find that I smoke the tires if I rev it up past 3-4k or so. I guess I'm not riding the clutch enough when taking off?

6000 rpm drop with 16 psi in street tires 205/50's
2.1 60 ft all the time with decent track conditions.

I have personally seen 14.1 with only mod as CAI. different guy though.

But really i would say there is no specific point to launch at. I'd say just experiment and see which rpm works best since several factors such as track conditions come into play.

all you guys do 6000rpm drops..
"drop" as in just pop it right out right? Im always scared to do that, might burn the clutch, or spin too much, never really tried popping it right out
