Short term fuel trim & Long term fuel trim

Default Short term fuel trim & Long term fuel trim

I was using a scantool and reading the live data of the the engine. What are Long & Short fuel trims ? What should the readings be for a normal operating engine ?

short term trim is immediate changes made during closed loop
long term is average amount of change that is made over time
