Exhaust Questions
I've been researching exhausts recently, and haven't come to a decision for which one I want. But I've narrowed it down to a few. There's the GReddy Evo, A'PEXi WS, 5zigen Fireball, and Tanabe Super Hyper Medallion. Which one do you guys recommend. I don't want a loud exhaust that everyone who I pass by will consider it a "coffee can" exhaust. Also, with the recommended exhaust, will there be any ground clearance problems? Thanks.
i would recommend apexi ws. it has a nice deep sound and definatly isn't as loud sa other exhausts. i believe most come with paperwork stating that their legal for use in the us.....so if the pigs wanna be dicks and still give you a ticket....you can take it to your local station and show the paper work.
im comtemplating a ws for my car as well.

the world sport is great and really really quiet, the one reason i don't like mine and didn't know about before i bought it is how big the muffler canister and how low the piping hangs, it hits on very high driveways and I don't know how low it would hang on a lowered car, maybe 1-2 inches clearance

i took it to a shop and everything is put on perfectly, it just hangs really low, if i knew of another quiet exhaust system maybe greddy sp, i still love it and would recommend it but I don't know how lowering will effect it

if someone hasnt told you already kteller8 makes custom exhausts, theyre probobly cheaper and he would be able to reccomend the best system for your application.
You can then choose your own muffler, catalytic converter, and possibly a resonator to quiet things down. He can get msot of those for you too.
I got one and in a few weeks it's being assembled and going on the car. I'll see about posting sound clips if anyone's interested.
Full setup:
2.5" stainless steel piping, header-back
Random Technology stainless high-flow catalytic converter
Focuz stainless steel resonator (marketed as cats but they're NOT)
Tenzo R stainless dual tip muffler (no gay 5" tips for me)
Header:
OBX stainless header w/ 2.5" collector modification
(OBX is apparently identical to DC Sports without the high price.)
n1 is nice but expect some nagging from pigs. i remember in december we had a NY meet and one came and made everyone rev...and one kid with an n1 got a ticket.
it can all be fixed but, eh i don't want to bother with all that. just something like ws would be good. nice deep tone and not too loud.

I have a RS*R cat back system. I'd say it is the same quality as the WS but is JDM. the whole system is black except for the tip. the tip is polished with the RS*R logo etched in it. It looks very stock and is very quiet.
big exhaust are a problem at times
