HIDs + Foglights (56k.. sorry)
Hey guys. Just wanted to post up a few pics of my new foglights.. Since one of the fogs came without a bulb
, i had to go get some, and why not spend 65 bucs on PIAA's?
Anyway, I have HID's too, and i have never really posted up pics of them.. so this is a 2 for one.. enjoy:
I'll try and get some pics at night of just the fogs and just the HID's and both together as well..

Kommander is right on the headlight HID's, however the fogs simply have H3 PIAA bulbs that are made to look like HIDs.. They put out about 4200 lumes and look just like my HID's.. Great light and even better look.. If i was not such a poor *** i would get some tru HIDs for the fogs, but all in due time. Thanx for all the compliments guys.

I think TL HID's work in non-projector housings if that makes a diff... not sure. But it sure as hell isnt as good as OEM HID retrofits/quality..
but Id like to see some nightpics against a wall or ground...

I've always heard the HID suck in the stock civic housings.
there is no halogen automotive bulb on this planet that puts out 4200 lumens, maybe you mean 4200K color temp? 9005 high beam bulb = 1700 lumens, Phillips 4300K HID is usually around 3200 lumens. That H3 probably puts out somewhere between 1000 and 1500 lumens depending on the current draw.
Edit: As for HIDs sucking in stock housing.. yah thats pretty much true.. the lighting is WAY better than stock.. but the beam pattern sux ***.. i yern(sp) for a damn nice beam pattern.

Yah, Ohio snow sux ***.. but i guess i can't complain cuz i got a snow day today..
I hope you're taking some night shots of your HIDs and fogs today.
