Default just got the new motor B20z

i just got my new motor and it wont start i just put it in last night when i crank it it sounds like it wants to crank over but it just wont and its shooting blue flames out the exhaust manifold what could be the problem

I dont think that you gave us enough information to give proper diagnosis.

But, if your motor is blowing out flames, then you have fuel, and you have spark it just may not be at the right time. MAke sure that:

1. Your cap and rotor are in good condition.
2. You plug wires are good, and are in the right order.
3. yor timing belot is good, and didnt jump a tooth.

These are just helpful hints before you go tearing anything apart. HTH

Blue flames aren't good... is the car wiredd correctly? Is it getting spark and fuel? I would think it would at least start if you can get these two to work...

good point,

my d16z6 did the same thing cranked over just wouldn't start up and it was because the timing was off.
