HOW to . . . Hondata clutch switch ?
I was wondering . . well one of these days befoe the track opens i wann hoko up the clutch switch , but how do you mount these things? anyone have pics or something ?i have yet to see one hooked up , but i want to use the functions of it
cool , i guess i was confused with the switch i was thinking it goes behind the pedal?
like a reg 2step switch when it was depressed it would complete the circuit and hold the rpms where you needed until you let off the button .
now does this do the oppsoite kinda?
im just trying to maek sense how this works. . . does it funtion as a reg 2step or 3 step, , just opposite wiring per say?
maybe im making this more difficult than i should be ?
thanks though Steve. . . . . Just to let you knwo that base map you sent me , was like dead on almost in partial throttle and in boost was rich , but deff safe
thnaks alot for your continuing help

we've done it both ways, thers another switch at the top thats for clutch interlock
and gets pressed when the clutch is on the floor. you can use taht one as well
but its rather hard to get to. I like to sidestep the clutch so having the switch in
the lower position works fine for me.

so the one you use? . . . . is that the one thats like on the picture demo on hondata site? it mounts on top and depresses the switch when foot is off the clutch and lets the switch out when the clutch is depressed?
so it like breaks the circuit when the clutch is pressed in ? i see how that can work for the full throttle launch to lower the revs to make it less violent, but i dont understand hwo that situation works for 2 step purposes
if your foot is pushing the clutch down and your steady on the gas at the line . how does it know to engage the 1st limiter? thats where im getting stuck at ?, or is the cluctch switch only for the throttle shift and that pushbutton it comes with for the 2 step like a conventional launching control set up?

Dude, once you drive with this installed, you'll NEVER go back... Hondata had a Quick Time movie of this at one time on their site.. have you seen it?

The easiest thing to do is solder/tap into the stock honda clutch switch. You can then find yourself a double throw/pull switch so you can disable/enable the switch with the hondata.
