Default MY stolen ITR, update(not a great one though)

Sorry for starting a new topic, I just wanted everyone to see my update.

I work for Prudential Financial, in a very large campus. Our security has cameras setup all over to pan 24x7.

After reviewing 2 hours of tape, we've narrowed it down.

It was stolen between 11:22 and 11:26. A black Explorer or Suburban pulled up very close to my driver-side door, backed in. They were only at the car for ~4 minutes too. The camera got a good pic of them leaving at the main entrance, and which way they went. They did get a picture of the rear of the truck, but the license plate could not be made out.

Apparently, the State Police and FBI have technology that can enhance blurry pictures. First, the local police has to determine if any info can be taken from the pic. IF so, they take it to the staties and they do their thing. How long it takes, I have no idea. I had no security in place, but I did have a brand new alarm just waiting to go in. Please, don't rub this in.

One thing's for sure, these guys were PROS .

Well atleast you have something... and it does not have to be pros.. Anybody can steal a car without an alarm. The Alarm will deter most thieves. Then if you have the club it will make a pro work a little harder and with the club and the Autolock... it will make them think twice about spending that much time around your car.

Now if you have all of that and a kill switch somewhere they cant find.... they are in for a long night.

Good luck though. I hope you get somewhere with all of this!

How'd they break into your car?
Easy - pull window back and slide bar to hit "unlock" button - takes about 20 seconds.

I don't know how they hotwire the car so fast - but that must have taken a couple of minutes.

note to self: disable electric switches.

on Honda for designing the car like that

Sorry about your car. I doubt it's coming back to you in one piece. Just look foward to the insurance money, and get yourself something better, maybe the STI. Anyways, I hope the cops can make out the plates to this car, and they find the bastards. If they do, it's time for a H-T beat down.

Don't ever think your car is safe anywhere. My friends ITR got stolen off the school parking lot at 1 in the afternoon. If they want it they will get it. Nothing will stop a flat bed. Most of the stolen car cases where there is no broken glass and no sign of forced entry were cars that were flat bedded. Not to scare anyone, but it's the truth. Be careful about your surroundings.

Someone needs to develop a panning camera for the inside of the car that has a video feed via wireless internet. It would make it a lot easier to catch these *******. R's are a dying breed

Can you list details about your car so those in the area can be on the lookout? Or so we can all look out for parts?

For the rest of youse, part #'s for RS door bezels:

Every little bit helps.

but for the people with the newer tegs, how do we open the trunk when the alarm locks all the doors after the car is started.....you have to turn off the car and then open and then start the car.....isn't that bad for the engine?
