Default Flywheel installation

hey guys... i have a quick question. How long would it take a average mechanic to put in a flywheel? Should I replace things in the way while i am at it? sorry for the questions but i have an automatic... you think i will still benefit from a lightened flywheel? thanks for the tips

It will take along time, since you dont even have a flywheel. You have a automatic which uses a torque converter..And no you will not benefit from it, because again you dont have a flywheel.

it's called a flex plate, its basically a super thin but strong flywheel, almsot looks like it's made from some like 3/16" sheet metal or something, bolts onto the crankshaft same as a flywheel, has teeth and all, and the torque converter attaches to it, so, i guess it *could* be considered a type of flywheel

Yea, change the tranny and ECU while you're in there. And route the MC and hardlines, and mount the pedal assembly and you'll be fine.
