How could I telll the difference between the two?

 

don't quote me, but i think the o2 sensor is on the header for the LS.

 

On 94-99 GSR's there is no 02 sensor bung on the header. The flange for the cat is also horizontal.

On 94-01 LS/GS/RS, 97-01 ITR & 00-01 GSR, all the headers are the same. 02 bung before the collector, and I believe a diagonal flange.

My '99 LS Header-Cat flange was horizontal (before I got my JDM DC 4-1 Header)

 

Ahh interesting. I used to have an old DC header lying around from a 94 RS a while back with a diagonal flange...what could that be from then?

I don't know.... I don't mean to say you are wrong.

But that is the way mine was..... horizontal.

I can't remember if my old LS engine was a B18A or B18B.... and I don't know if it makes a difference.

I couldve sworn that damn flange was diagonal, thats all, so if you inform me otherwise, I MUST be losing it!
