Default First time with the car, trophy finish

I did not do as well as I planned! I did get a sixth place trophy finish out of it. This was our first time at this location, very slippery surface. I was just glad it didnt rain, the blacktop was sealed. I thought some of you might like to see a picture of my newly aquired vehicle in action...

Edit: Trying to get the image smaller...

Cool...So the Sam Houston Race Park is slicker than Gulf Greyhound Park...yeuk...

I didn't feel like taking the nearly 1.5 hour trek north since the truck braking system really needs to be looked at before I autocross it again (I'm thinking it's going to need new shoes real soon - oh what fun I will be having when changing them out).

Civic looks good, and 6th in STU isn't bad for the first time out...you'll only get faster. Now if you don't start re-PAX'n within the top 5-10 drivers at the next regional event, then you really have a problem...

Thanks everyone for the posts. I think it is a good pissing dog picture considering it actually looks like its pissing on something.

Hey Richard, the car is working well so far... Finally got the GSR suspension in it...

Sorry you didnt make it out Paul. I think there was a Tacoma out there with a wide body kit and cowl induction look hood, you should have seen it!
The car on the street feels like it handles better than the Integra, but it just was too loose on that track. I need to fine tune everthing like I did the GSR, it just takes time...
Another thing that doesnt help at all is not having power steering! On an autocross coarse it becomes disorienting... It was hard to feel exactly where the wheels were pointed. I think it has a great feel for the track, just not ideal for autocross!

Thanks for the encouraging words... To whom do I owe the pleasure, have we met? I dont rec your usernames...

I ran in the afternoon, first heat with the rest of the STU croud. I also arrived about 10:00am and got the car ready and parked. Wandered over to see the coarse and how it turned out.

One heck of a turn-out! Over 300 entrys. I am glad Houston region is doing so well and love the heavy competition, but... I like having more than 3 runs!
