JDM CWEST Peeps Need Your HELP!!!
I am having my jdm cwest kit put on and the body shop has never installed one of these before, they have no clue how to install the front bumper, they are claiming that there are some fitment issues problems can you peeps help me out and snap some pics up close so i can show them that it can be installed? Also the part where i need to show them are around teh headlights and fenders. Particularly near the corner of the headlights where those 2 things rests on the headlights if anyone can snap some upclose pictures I'd appreciate it a lot and thanks in advance.
Just wondering but what color is your cwest bumper? Did your bodyshop take out your bumper support? I think it needs to be removed inorder to fit properly.

So for those who has close up pics can you lend it to me so i can use it as reference? thanks
I'd like to know this also. The USDM bumpers are supported from the top, but there is no way to do that with the JDM lights in the way.

The CWest bumper you bought was a replica but I don't think it would affect installation much. C Mugen R or something like that in the ITR forum can probably help you out. He had a C West front on his JDM front ITR.
Which front do you have JDM ITR of US ITR? the JDM will hang lower and longer and th US will be shorter. I don't think they made a Cwest for the US version front.
I still would like to understand how do you spot a real cwest from a replica, and yes mine is a replica but I got a really good deal on it so I picked it up. Fitment doesnt seem to be the issue except MAYBE near the party where it rests on teh headlight. But still since there are no holes on the kit i'm wondering where are the correct places to dril the holes... along with how to have support for teh edges...
help please

Summary.
1. how do you spot a fake cwest w/ a real one.
2. how do you install the cwest + upclose pics near the headlight area.
1. Real C West kits are gel coated black and you can tell its C West also because of the quality of the kit. Aftermarket manufacturers use white, light blue, yellow, and etc. for their gel coats.
2. Like I said before please IM C Mugen R or ask him if he can help you with your problem. He had a C west front before and I am sure some of his ITR buddys have them as well.
Since your bumper didn't come with any predrilled holes your bodyshop is going to have to use self tapping screws inorder to install the kit.

in regards to #1 is this wat you are referring to?
I'm hoping with these visuals it will help you, help me more in trying to get my kit to fit. Note that I do not have the reinforcement bar at all on, I only have the USDM Rad suport not JDM. Does it make any difference?

Yes that is what I was referring to. However, even though its black it doesn't mean its really real. You have to personally see it or see close up shots to see if its the real deal. From the pic the kit looks real.
In the pic with the red integra it shows that you need a screw on each piece of fiberglass in the middle. Then one or two more screws at the ends. By ends I mean where the tape is at on the first set of pics you posted, the black cwest kit on the grass. Finally, one or two more screws at the ends but in the inner wheelwells. That should be about it, if you have any fitment issues well your bodyshop should be able to take care of that. Good luck

I think you NEED the JDM Rad. support. I don't know how you can drill the USDM one????
Here's my pic of my conversion progress...

On mine, the two sides are held in by screws that attach to the fenders themselves. The two center tabs are held onto the headlights by two 10mm nuts and bolts. On the bottom I used two pieces of metal to hold up the bottom for more support, the two pieces are bolted into the bottom of the radiator support. When you do the conversion you have t make sure you have the JDM radiator support, the usdm is completely different then the jdm one. I removed both upper and lower bumper supports on mine so it fit like a glove.

I do have the JDM Rad, But i dont have the JDM Reinforcement Bar. The problem that I am having is that I dont see how the JDM Reinforcement Bar will help much in regards to holding the kit up since the only contact it will have w/ the cwest kit is the middle part. Correct me if I am wrong...
Could you be kind enough as to snap some pics to help me out? I am having a world of trouble trynig to explina to the body shop how its suppose to be done correctly...
TIA
here is what I am talking about:

those three points u highlighted are part of the jdm radiator support. the bumper support holds up the kit just the same way it holds up the stock bumper. on the bumper support there are holes so you can drill it and slide it up until the bumper fits flush with the lights. it is the black bar, the thin one that you circled. it costs 100 bucks by itself. it is shown in one of the pics above.
