I just went wingless on my GSR, and I'm soon getting an ITR spoiler (no brakelight). What are some good options for a third brakelight?

 

get one of those led bars that everyone loves. Or get the 3rd break light from a supra. lol

3M double sided tape!

 

if you use double sided tape - you will be able to see it from the outside of the hatch - it will look pretty cheap.

 

Isn't there was a company that sells 3rd brakelights? I swear I've seen it before...

hey bro you could remove the third brake light led from ur gsr wing and mount it on the the top of ur hatch on the inside wit some silicone ... cuz that ish will dry nearly clear and won't nearly be as noticeable as the tape... oh and like i said..we'll ship once the payment clears into our bank account. thanks!

 

Drill holes in the glass and mount the gs/ls light. They make special bits for clean holes in glass.

 

Someone posted pics of a 3rd ls brake light that was mounted with double sided tape that came out really clean.

 

I did a lot of searching through the archives, and I'm going to use the brake light from my stock wing. It looks pretty clean. I'll post pics tonight.

I don't think anyone would try to drill the glass. It's like a 900.00 piece of glass.

Thanks for that info. My GSR is now wingless too and I was wondering the same thing. By the way, does anyone know if it's illegal to not have the 3rd brake light? Mine's been gone for awhile, and haven't had any problems. Just curious.

 

Ive been cruising around without a 3rd brakelight for a long while now...havent had any police issues...

 

I personally can't stand being behind vehicles w/o a 3rd brakelight or with it burned out, it's what I always notice first when the person starts to brake (the center light that is).

 

im in the same boat as you guys. ITR winged my GSR and thats it. We'll in CA it is illegal to drive without a 3rd brake light. Experienced this myself, not with my car but with my friends Accord. We were stopped in Pasadena for half an hour. Doh!

 

I just put in the brake light from my GSR wing. It looks totally ghetto from the inside, but pretty good from the outside. This will definitely be temporary until I can get a hold of a rs/ls/gs 3rd brake light. Here are the pics:
