Compression numbers and suggestions
I am going to do something really silly, (or at least it would seem that way to most people and shops...) I am going to rebuild the A20A that is in my'87 Honda prelude with forged pistons, rods, crank, so on...A full preformance rebuild. My question is this, does anyone happen to know the stock compression on my motor, and I am open to suggestion about what it should be changed to before adding my turbo. Just to clear building suggestions, the block is getting sleeved, and planed, with a copper head gasket. The head is being completely rebuilt and flowed. Then the guys at Paeco.com are going to cut a new camshaft to match the head. Basically I have done my homework on this one, I just can't seem to come up with the compression numbers...It would appear that I will be the only gen2 turbo, that I have found anyway..Any suggestions other than get a new lude are welcome. Thanks!

That should be pretty tight man. I hear about people dropping in an H22 in their 2nd&3rd gen's quite often, but building the A20a? Sounds interesting. It should be a strong motor by time your done. Keep us informed. Sorry I can help you with your question.
Thanks for the support man, I have had multiple shops litteraly laugh at me or tell me they can't help me. Luckily, I got hooked up with a race team through a friend, and they are all about it....The funny thing is even they are having trouble coming up with the stock compression...And without it, we can't change it, know what I'm sayin??
