Does anyone know how much it weighs? i heard the b16 weighs like 90 pounds more than the d16. Would the zc weigh about the same as the d16? or somewhere in the middle?

 

the ZC is gonna be more than the D16 because the d16 is SOHC, compared to the ZC's DOHC. The ZC probably is a whole lot less than the B16

 

less then a b16a1 by like 80 lbs

im not shure but i know its alot heavier than an a6 not 10 lbs

 

actually the wieghts aren't horribly different. ZC's pack on a whole 25lbs roughly. Not much difference than a sohc. when you compare it to vtec engines, it's light.

 

This is according to the Helms Manual.
SOHC engine weight (wet) = 236lbs.
DOHC engine weight (wet) = 249lbs.
That's 13 pounds difference.
Now the DOHC VTEC engine weight (wet) = 309lbs.

Not that I have any profesional background to make a judgement on and forgive me if I sound like a ****, but I dont think a USDM manual will give weights on a JDM motor, or vice versa. I owe you an appology if you have a USDM and JDM manual to pull both numbers from.

CRXRage would be the third person that ive heard say 25 Lbs. I would go with that.

 

I do have both manuals. I have the actual book on the USDM, and the CD for the JDM. These #'s are straight from both books.
