this may sound krazy but, i once found some pics of a civic with the stock front bumper and a small hole was cut in the side to expose the cai's filter to a direct flow of air. now, this hole looked really clean. it even had a little rubber gourmet to protect it.

i think the pic was a silver ctr but does anyone have a similar pic theay can post? even if you dont have a pic to post. lmk you have seen this before.

haha, I did that. Don't know if it's the same one you're thinking about but here it is-Yes the eyebrows are gone and I painted the headlights black:

I strongly suggest not to do it. I kind of regret it, but I have a piece now I put on forwhen it snows and it goes over the hole and it matches exactly the same color of my car and you can hardly tell it's there.

 

This fog light kit might give you some ideas for bringing in cold air.
